  • Team Rowland Update: God’s Kindness and the Call to Ministry — Join Us!

    Career and Calling

Let me catch you up. In September of 2023, I found myself in a big transition — searching for a job while caring for my wife and six-week-old son. I began praying specifically for a job that would allow me to work hard with a clear conscience and provide for our family. God, in his kindness, answered that request — twice over!

For a year,I had the joy of serving as Warehouse Lead at 316 Publishing, where I helped put high-quality copies of God’s word into the hands of people around the world. I learned a lot from the hardworking and gifted team at 316. Though I was content there, God had another exciting plan.

In February 2024, I came to work as the Operations Coordinator at Mission Bible Church (MBC) — the local church where we’ve been so blessed to grow and serve for the past five years.

Around the same time, I was invited to serve as the Young Adults Coordinator, giving me the privilege of using both vocational and volunteer hours to invest in the church!

The Lord’s grace in answering and continuing to answer that prayer continues to amaze me. And with His grace has come much growth.

Before taking on the Young Adults role, I participated in MBC’s pastoral internship program, which consisted of nine rich months of reading, writing, and round table conversations with pastors and fellow interns. I’m incredibly grateful for the wisdom I received from our pastors and the confirmation that came through their evaluation and encouragement.

Through this process, God made two things increasingly clear:

    1. He has gifted and called me toward full-time pastoral ministry, and

    2. Faithfully pursuing that call requires rigorous, Biblical training — especially in preaching and pastoring.

That training has brought me to The Master’s Seminary (founded by Pastor John MacArthur), where I’m working toward a Master of Divinity. I began classes in the Fall of 2024 and have completed 23 of the required 98 units. Already, I can see the fruit of this training in both my life and ministry. Praise God for this opportunity!

    Family Update: Sweet Seasons

As sweet as ministry has been, family life has been even sweeter!

Earlier I mentioned a little boy to take care of — His name is Jude, and he’s now two and half! He’s into trucks of all kinds, books, singing, and helping mom in the kitchen. He’s full of energy and joy.

God has also blessed us with a daughter — Kaia who just turned one! She’s got me wrapped around her little finger. She loves jumping in the pool, eating blueberries, and trying to keep up with her big brother.

I’m excited to announce that the Lord has blessed us yet again — Annika and I are expecting our third child this coming holiday season! Praise the Lord!

Annika continues to be my greatest earthly blessing and dearest friend. A gift from God! She now works part-time in an administrative role at MBC and spends the majority of her time joyfully stewarding our home and caring for the children God has given us.

In addition to our work at Mission Bible, we continue to serve through Apartment Life at Lake Dianne, seeking to bless our neighbors and live out the gospel in everyday life.

    Join Us in the Journey

In every area — work, church, seminary, and family — we have seen God’s faithful provision, and we trust He will continue to lead us in His perfect timing.

As I pursue full-time ministry and complete my theological training at The Master’s Seminary, we are entering a season where outside support is essential. Our desire is to stay focused on serving the church while preparing with excellence for long-term pastoral ministry.

If the Lord leads you to partner with us through prayer or financial support, we would be so grateful. Your encouragement means more than you know.

Thank you for taking the time to read this update — and for your ongoing love, prayers, and generosity. We praise God for you!

    In Christ,

    Rand Rowland
